Hello! My name is Maria, founder, designer, creator, marketer (and much more!) of Shoebox Studio. I'm a mother of one gorgeous, cheeky little boy and two hyperactive fur babies.

I should say ‘I have always wanted to do something more than the typical 9-5 corporate job’ but then I’d be lying to you. I didn't really think about it when I was in my 20’s, I never thought running a business was an option. I never knew what I wanted to do as a career; I hadn’t found my passion. I’ve worked for a few large companies for the last 16 years, from warehousing and management to the motor trade.

Fast forward to 2020 when it was the hight of COVID I was 6 months pregnant so went on early maternity leave, I was scrolling through YouTube at other small businesses and came across Katnipp Studio who mentioned sublimation. I researched and researched, I knew this is what I wanted to do!

I pitched my business plan to my amazing, supportive other half who told me to go for it - Shoebox Studio was then created! My goal is to create gifts for my lovely customers to cherish for years to come. Maybe even have my own shop or my products stocked in shops around the world, that would be amazing! My dream would be to have a coffee shop / cafe with a shop to the back, we could make the orders whilst the customer enjoys a nice hot drink and a panini! One day, hopefully...

I am proud to be moving over to using recyclable and compostable packaging where possible and reuse plastic packaging provided with the products from suppliers.
